Project Management

The purpose of this course is to provide specialized knowledge of modern techniques and methods of project management. It presents project management processes with the goal of improving students’ abilities in in systematically addressing the challenges that arise during project initiation and design, project staffing, project organization, time scheduling and cost management, as well as project evaluation. The course introduces methods and techniques used for management and evaluation of projects and programs. It examines alternative organizational forms for project management, conflicts and disputes that arise during project implementation, and ways to resolve them.. It presents project planning processes and the construction of activity networks, which are the primary mechanism for modeling project activities.. Project cost analysis is performed using the CPM-Cost technique, which investigates the relationship between project duration and cost and calculates the optimal combination using mathematical programming techniques. The RPS methods are used to analyze the use of alternative resources.
