Human Resource Management and Development issues has proven to be, for any company executive, not only one of the most fundamental prerequisites for a successful career but also one of the most significant challenges encountered. Experience has shown that the knowledge and understanding of issues related to the "management" of human resources are the cornerstone of any effective work role. This is because it is increasingly recognized that in today's era of rapid and unpredictable change, people, rather than capital or technology, are the ones who make the difference between successful and unsuccessful work performance. The aim of this course is to highlight, discuss, and understand issues related to Human Resource Management, which are critical to the exercise of any managerial role.The course is organized into the following learning units:

  • Methods and selection procedures.
  • The five dominant personality traits and their importance in selection. 

5. Performance Management.

  • The systemic approach to Performance Management.
  • Traditional and modern views on Performance Management.
  • Methods and techniques of Performance Management. 

6. Human Resource Development 

  • Why, how, and for whom Human Resources Development.
  • The intangible resources of an organization.
  • The critical review of the modern world of work. 

7. Knowledge - Learning and Skills. 

  • How the concepts of knowledge, learning, and skills are defined.
